A really enchanting, traditional detached cottage with contemporary comfort and style which enjoys its own, very private, fully enclosed garden. Set in a peaceful Wolds village 6 miles from the market town of Louth, an interesting market town with many food specialists and independent shops, and just 20 minutes drive from the unspoilt sandy beach at Sandilands (a beach hut may be rented at small extra cost). There is excellent local walking and many quiet rural lanes for cycling. Medieval Lincoln, Doddington Hall, Horncastle with its many antique shops, Skegness and Gunby Hall and Gardens (NT) are within easy reach. Horse riding and golf locally. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Reviews
The 1st cottage holiday i have had, it was genuinely a home from home we as a family will definitely be booking this type of break again, our only dilema is do we return to garth cottage or try another cottage elsewhere... anyone thinking of trying this holiday should do. We had a 1st rate experience... we were sad to leave.

Whichever of our Lincolnshire cottage holidays you choose, you can be sure of a very pleasant surprise when you arrive in this peaceful, almost timeless place. It may be one of the largest of Britain’s counties, but it remains one of the least well-known. Here you’ll find wide-open spaces, far horizons and room to breathe, not to mention some excellent locally-sourced food.
Perhaps most striking are the Lincolnshire Wolds, where most of our Lincolnshire holiday cottages are located. Unlike the rest of the county, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts rolling hills, deep valleys and is ideal touring country. In complete contrast, there’s Lincolnshire’s Fun Coast, miles of sandy beaches stretching from Skegness to Mablethorpe which attracts families in search of its many seaside attractions and shows.
Not be missed is historic Lincoln, complete with its famous cathedral and medieval buildings as well as a Norman Castle where you can see one the few original copies of Magna Carta. To the south lies Stamford, a perfectly preserved Georgian Town, which featured in the TV adaptation of Middlemarch. Make sure you pay a visit to nearby Burghley House, one of our grandest Elizabethan houses.
